French Press
(recommended ratio of 1:15)
The infusion method with a coarse grind is easy to brew and consistent, and is becoming increasingly popular because of its reliable brewing method. Its classic and well-engineered design has not changed much since its invention in 1929, and it is perfect for making multiple cups of heavy-bodied coffee in 4 minutes.
Advantages:
- Rich body resulting from the high ratio of coffee to water.
- Shorter steeping time with only the slight application of pressure.
Disadvantages:
- Might result in sediments at the bottom of the cup.
- Coffee cools as it steeps and quickly thereafter.
Preparation steps:
1. Ground your fresh beans on a medium coarse gradient (BLACKCoffee recommends low acidic and medium roasted coffee beans such as House Blend #14) | 2. Pour in 21g of coffee grounds into the French press apparatus that you can check in our merchandise section. |
3. Pour in hot water and stir well. | 4. Let the coffee and hot water infuse for 4 minutes then serve. |
